We hope you’ll check out Books by the Banks this Saturday at the Duke energy Center in downtown Cincinnati, for a daylong celebration of Cincinnati authors and books with local connections. Brett Harper will be on hand with copies of Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life, the definitive tome on the life and work of his talented father, the illustrator and artist Charley Harper, now available in a smaller hardcover format. Copies of other books by Charley Harper will be available as well.

If you’re a Charley Harper fan in the San Francisco area, check out the exhibit of Harper’s original illustrations at the Altman Siegel Gallery, which runs September 24-October 31. Altman Siegel is a contemporary art gallery focusing on rigorous content in a range of mediums, whose program seeks to contribute to the international cultural discourse.
