Here at Fabulous Frames & Art, we are major fans of Charley Harper and love both connecting with fans and introducing customers to his Minimal Realism. Today, we’d like to share some of his unique depictions of fish which, rendered in his precise, geometric style, are both graceful and whimsical.
Here at Fabulous Frames & Art, we have long known that designer Todd Oldham is a major fan of Charley Harper‘s artwork. After all, he wrote An Illustrated Life, the definitive book of Charley’s life and work. Still, seeing these photos of Todd’s Harper collection is his weekend home in rural Pennsylvania wowed us!
Todd Oldham‘s fondness for the artwork of Charley Harper has once again united the designer and Charley Harper Art Studio. The latest project celebrating Harper’s designs is a series of plates, bowls and glasses created for Fishs Eddy. The images used for this latest endeavor are from Harper’s wildly popular Ford Times Series of Fish silkscreens. Harper’s work has the perfect amount of color and a carefree upbeat style that’s perfect for summer entertaining. Fabulous Frames & Art is thrilled to be among the first retailers to carry the line. Stop in to any of our 5 Cincinnati locations to browse and shop the entire collection as well as all things Harper.

Cincinnati-based Fabulous Frames & Art is both a custom-framing gallery and the world’s largest dealer in the work of the late Charley Harper. Recently, we had the amazing opportunity to combine both of those capabilities when a customer brought in a painting for us to reframe, which turned out to be a rare early Harper commission. Let’s take a closer look!
