The Many Ways to Frame a Poster

Let’s take a look at a couple vintage posters we’ve recently framed; we’re really pleased with the results!


Above and below, a vintage Coca Cola poster featuring Santa Claus was framed in a burled wood frame with a fillet (matching interior frame inside the mat opening). The burled wood picks up the brown tones in the poster, and its rich, variegated look is a great complement to the image:

Another beautiful example is this vintage New York poster, showing the island of Manhattan, which features dramatic metallic inks. We framed it in a distressed black wood frame with a subtle copper finish, reminiscent of Art Deco architecture. The mat is a stark black:
