Beloved Modernist Cincinnati artist Edie Harper, who passed away in early 2010, was very much a cat person, one who frequently depicted cats in her charming artwork. Here at Fabulous Frames & Art, we are thrilled to announce that Edie’s best-selling set of four ceramic mugs depicting cats through the seasons of the year has just been re-released!
Below are a few examples of cat-themed limited-edition prints by Edie Harper:
Edith Riley McKee was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1922. Her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1930s, and she entered the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1940. There, she met her future husband, Charley Harper. Edie spent her long career creating artwork in the form of photography, serigraphy, paintings, weavings, and enamel.
Cincinnati-based Fabulous Frames & Art is a family-owned business and the world’s largest dealer in the artwork of the Harper family, including Edie Harper, Charley Harper, and their son Brett Harper.
